I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Shakil.
I provide holistic massage, yoga and fitness sessions focused on the wellbeing of my clients.
My career began in adult care services, where I gained qualifications in Health & Social Care. I mainly worked providing residential and home care and support to seniors. I have attended over fifty training sessions in different areas of Health & Social Care.
I have since gained qualifications in massage, yoga, fitness and nuitrition.
I am a qualified, insured and experienced holistic massage therapist. I am also a personal trainer, yoga instructor and nutrition adviser.

I have known Shakil for about three years. In that time my health and well-being has improved enormously.
Each time we meet Shakil reviews my state of health, aims and objects. He updates my exercise and nutritional programmes and gives a holistic massage that is second to none.
If I have a setback or feel unwell Shakil always takes the initiative to see how he can help and offers expert, professional advice that enables my recovery.
During the Covid lockdown Shakil set up an outdoor exercise group for myself and a group of six friends. He carefully assessed each person's health and abilities and we knew he was training us as individuals even though we were in a group. All participants benefited enormously in both their physical and mental health. There was great sadness when the outdoor activities had to stop as we approached the winter months. I was delighted when Shakil became a qualified yoga teacher and have had yoga sessions with him since. These will continue to be a part of my regular health and well-being programme.

"I first contacted Shakil when I was in a bad place both mentally and physically in October 2019.
I had always been fit as I am a Hill Walker and a regular cyclist.
I was prescribed medication in April 2018 and developed all the rare reactions. Unusually these did not kick in until a year after taking the medication. I had not been advised by the consultant that that would happen.
I began to suffer depression, weight gain, falling asleep at the wheel of my car etc. By May 2019, I was in bad shape. I could not climb the stairs without running out of breath. My weight increased from 90 Kg to 108Kg. It finally dawned on me that my rapid decline in health might be caused by the medication. So, I went off it but I still had the weight problem.
I contacted Shakil on the recommendation of a friend of mine whom he had successfully worked on in London. I live in Cork city in the Republic of Ireland but Shakil reckoned he could work on me via WhatsApp and emails. He sent me detailed work sheets with instructions on exercise (which machines to use in the gym and for how long etc.), target distances for cycling. I was also sent a detailed list of suitable foods. He would give me targets for weight loss. He hoped to get me down to 88Kg by May.
Shakil has that unique ability which only the best teachers have. You want to please him by exceeding the targets he sets you. If he suggested I aim for half a kilo loss in a week I would go all out to lose a Kilo. The result was he got me down to my target weight by the end of January, a loss of 20Kg. As I progressed, he would mail me updated exercise/diet sheets.
He told me that he would normally be giving massages at regular intervals, but I was unable to get to London until the end of January. He gave me a deep tissue massage which revealed what muscles needed to be worked on. I left with a revised schedule.
He checks up on me regularly to make sure that I am maintaining my fitness. I have returned to cycling and hill walking and can comfortably repeat my former exploits.
